FILM FESTIVAL: ICTJ featured at Tribeca Film Festival | New York City

On May 1, 2007 at 7:00 pm, the ICTJ, with Tribeca Film Festival, will bring together an exciting group of filmmakers and experts to discuss the impact of increased visibility of real world conflict in the cinema and mainstream media.

In the Tribeca Talks event Real Horror Stories, the panelists will examine the implications of bringing war to the fore through popular channels such as blockbuster films and bestselling books. Among others, Don Cheadle (actor; author), Terry George (director, Hotel Rwanda), Ishmael Beah (former child soldier; author, Long Way Gone), Suliman Baldo (Sudan expert; Deputy Director, Middle East and North Africa program, ICTJ), John Bul Dau ("Lost Boy" from Sudan), John Prendergast (Senior Advisor, International Crisis Group) and Christopher Quinn (director, God Grew Tired of Us) will participate in this important and timely conversation.
