FILM FESTIVAL: "Cultura de la memoria" | Santiago, Chile

The ICTJ and partner organizations (FLACSO Chile, Centro Cultural Palacio Moneda, Goethe Institut Chile, and the International Coalition of Historic Site Museums of Conscience) are currently sponsoring the film festival Cultura de la memoria (Culture of memory) in Santiago, Chile, running from June 20 to July 1, 2007. Work by German, Spanish, and Chilean filmmakers dealing with human rights abuses and the preservation of memories of the Second World War in Germany, the Spanish Civil War, and the coup and resulting era of dictatorship in Chile will be screened.
